Snow Storm Resources (January 2026)
    Reporting Road Concerns
During a snow and ice event, residents and citizens are asked to wait 24 hours, after the precipitation has stopped, to call 311 or 301-883-4748 to report emergencies or concerns about roadway conditions/snow removal.
Weather Alert The Department of Public Works & Transportation (DPW&T) is taking proactive steps to ensure winter weather safety: Primary and secondary roads will be pre-treated ahead of the snowfall. Crews will be ready to salt and plow as needed during the storm. Crews will address icy patches, hills, and other problem areas as necessary. What You Can Do Avoid unnecessary travel during the snow and peak precipitation hours. Park in driveways or off-road locations to allow easier access for snowplows and salt trucks. Call PGC311 or file a report through the PGC311 app to report hazardous conditions such as downed trees or icy patches.
